Thus, upon losing a child, it is essential that a mother should consider doing some things to keep herself from suffering from great depression.

When dealing with any loss, one of the most effective ways to lessen the depressing pain one feels is by releasing the negative emotions and not keeping it inside. Talking to someone else about how you truly feel is a good idea. Talking to a person who is close to your heart may lessen the heaviness you feel inside. Do not be afraid or shy in showing how the situation have made you feel weak and crying. Looking for a productive outlet of your emotions is also a good idea. Make yourself busy on things and activities that can be beneficial to you, your family or other people as it may keep you from having to just sit around and think about your loss.

Joining a support group is also advisable as one can get help, advices, counseling, guidance and support from people who have had the same experience and from professionals who can help you cope with the depression.
