Some people commit the mistake of inserting tools into the sound outlet when cleaning, which often results to the damaging of the receiver. If you cannot clean your hearing aid well, it is better to seek the help of your hearing health care professional than spend another chunk from your savings just because you have to purchase new hearing aids to replace the ones you broke.

Proper maintenance of hearing aids may include switching them off when not in use. If you are not going to use your hearing aid for a long time, it is best to remove the batteries.
